Delete your Vlyt account
For the Vlyt mobile app, operated by Vlyt Software (Pty) Ltd. Deleting the app from your phone does not delete your account.
Option 1: Delete in the app
- Sign in to Vlyt on your phone.
- Go to Settings → Delete account.
- Type DELETE to confirm.
- Tap Delete permanently.
Deletion is immediate and irreversible. There is no grace period.
Option 2: Request deletion without the app
If you can no longer access the app, email support@vlyt.app from the email address used on your Vlyt account, with the subject “Delete my Vlyt account”. We will verify that you own the account before deleting it, and confirm by email once done.
What is deleted
Your authentication account and related business data, including:
- Business profile
- Catalog and products, stock records
- Contacts, quotes, expenses
- Stored files such as product images, avatars, receipts, and reports
After deletion you cannot sign in again with the same credentials unless you create a new account.
What may be retained
Where South African law requires us to retain information (for example tax or accounting records, commonly up to five years), we keep only the minimum record required, then delete it when that period ends. Crash and analytics logs are kept only as long as needed for diagnostics and product improvement.
